From start to finish probably about six hours. It is good therapy plus fun to expand on the hobby IMHO. I have always like doing woodworking so I already owned most of the tools. What I didn't own gave me an excuse to buy more tools. LOL
 
That's a slippery slope, Mike. I got into pipe making basically with full tools on hand, and I'm still adding bits and pieces almost daily. It is quite possibly a worse affliction than TAD or PAD.

FWIW Winslow, I am around 6 - 10 hours per pipe as well. It's slow going, especially the first ones.
 
Very nice work!

I love panelled pipes and believe they would be one of the more difficult shapes to execute.

#2 would be my choice of the two.
