When I get the hankering for LJ Peretti burleys, that's when I grab the widest bowl pipes I own.  333, DD, 33, and others just seem to be best when scooped up and lightly pressed with my thumb.

Thanks for the thoughts. I've actually thought about lighter aromatic-English blends. I'm thinking of things like Bald Headed Teacher, FM OTT, etc. Hmm...

In my experience all of the Frogs love wide bowls (I've had better smokes with OTT and ATP in wide bowls than in anything else), so it sounds like you're on the right track.

Just finished a fine bowl of aged 2015 w/15% added perique in my 320 Sav, and it's a match made in heaven!

Cheers,

Yes my bro'

In my largest wide bowled pipe, a Ferndown, I enjoy Cornell and Diehl Billy Budd. It is a Latakia blend which has some maduro cigar leaf added which gives it a creamy taste. The cigar leaf tends to make it burn quicker, so the larger bowl is well suited to this blend IMO.
