I think those are a good idea, and would trust the UPS one. Due to many past experiences here I think the USPS one would be accurate within a one day span.

FYI I'm heading down to Carmel for the weekend. Goodbye Oregon rain hello California sunshine. Wife's annual company dinner for owners/managers. Carmel Valley Ranch - swanky dinners, golf, bocce ball tournament. Weehaw!

Hey! Maybe I'll take the drink recipes down and see what the pro bartenders can do with 'em!

there is a good, yet small, B&M down there that caters to pipe smokers. carmel pipe shop right downtown. also, edwards in Los Altos might be a good stop for you on the way back north. let me know if you stop in the bay area and i'll see what i can do to have a pipe with you, and prove that you aren't nicolas cage. or morgan hill during the week. sorry for the bad sentence structure, it's early.
 
I've been in the Carmel Pipe Shop before. Hole in the wall. Nice OLD guy was there and we chatted for a long time while the rest of our 'party' hoofed it around, up and down the hills, etc. I had a lot better time.


Doubt that I'll be able to stop for anything, anywhere. These trips are the wife's thing for her work and she plans them out pretty tight. But, as the trophy husband, I'm not complaining.

I knew someone was going to pull "the calm before the storm" crap. Come on now, how about we just go ahead with incessant banter of "______________ we are going to make a crater in your front yard so big God's gonna think we just gave Earth a new butthole, so close the hatches cause we're coming your way to rain fire and destruction." Or something like that, but with more hatred and contempt? Calm before the storm, I'll calm before the storm you.
