Have you been to Burgers and Brew?

I don't drink beer so I usually don't bother going into a place with the words beer, brew, pub, etc in the name. I'm probably missing out on some good grub. It's not that I have some ethical issue with drinking, but I have been on a fitness/health regimen for a few years now, and beer and weight control/fitness nutrition don't mix. Also, I used to work as a bartender long ago and developed a sincere disgust for the alchohol induced drivel that conversation becomes in most bars. Not a judgement, just a personal quirk. Very quickly the word "Asshole!" jumps out of my mouth, from nowhere, flung at some unsuspecting drunk.....Errrr, patron. I'm getting too old to fight anymore so I just stay out of bars now :lol:

I completely understand.

I am not sure about the Sacramento location but the B&B in Davis actually has no bar. It's a cool little renovated house with a wrap around porch with outdoor seating across the central park. It's a very family friendly sit down burger joint with excellent food that just happens to have an extensive beer menu.

I stay out of the bars. There's no reason for me to be there.

I am a quality over quantity beer and grain spirits enthusiast. I am also a brewer. And I hate hangovers.

The joint in Davis sounds great, I'll have to give it a try next time I'm in that neck of the woods. I live in Folsom, tend to stick close to home when not working, but I will file that one away for future reference.

I can totally appreciate good craft beer, I like it. But, like cake and ice cream, a slippery slope for me. One leads to frequent trips back to the desert table, so I just don't go for that one. No self control I guess. Now single malt scotch I can do, and I can stop at one. Don't know why, maybe it's cuz I know that second one will lead to pain and suffering in the morning :lol:

Yep, that place is about a mile and a half from here. Everybody pretty much acts like it isn't there now, being the Tech industry employee yuppie nimby place that it's become. I like it well enough though, good schools, cops are active, place is clean, good golf course 8)

Yes it is on tap there, although because it is prone to selling out they don't list it on their permanent "beers on tap" menu.
