Easy peasy! Where's trifecta?

Alas, I am slow to the punch. This man continues to provide me with periodic insight into the human condition and for that I am eternally grateful.

Surprisingly another artist seems to have gone unguessed. But rest assured BC, I would recognize Sailor Jerry anywhere. How can you not? ;)

Hey BigCasino - Here's the blurb on the rivalry between the two famous tattoo artists, Lyle Tuttle & Sailor Jerry, from Wiki:

"When Tuttle was on the cover of Rolling Stone magazine in October 1970, Sailor Jerry put the picture inside his toilet". [3][4]

Ouch! Wonder what that was all about?

Yeah, trifecta, thought you'd appreciate this photo. Spent a lot of years in Steinbeck country in Salinas, Castroville, Watsonville, Moss Landing & Monterey in the 80s. Great part of the world there, and I miss it greatly.

By the way, PD, Monsier Camus is a dead ringer for my Uncle Guido.

Controversial English writer. Arch nemesis of A.A. Milne, another notable pipe smoker, of Winnie the Pooh fame.

Right on both counts! Congrats. Your turn. Make it hard now. LOL.

Sure looks like Niels Bohr to me.

OK, here's one for ya: (a hint, he's American 8) )
It's either a young Harlan Ellison (sci-fi author) or an even younger Johnny Cash. No, wait...the face isn't craggy enough for Johnny, so I'm gonna say it's Harlan...prolly at a book signing, judging by the shelves behind him.

Touchdown!
I'd have had to resign from physics if I had missed that one.

Here's another Brit author. Famous. Justly so.

CS Lewis
Bingo, PD!

I knew he was a pipe smoker (...although I'm not sure how I knew that; perhaps it was suggested by the film Shadowlands, where Lewis was played by Anthony Hopkins), but it took some doing to find a photo that proved it.

OK...here's another one—and this one is probably way too easy—but I'd be remiss if I didn't include it in a thread of such illustrious pipe smokists:
