Every day I check Mars to see if pounds of
Hamborger Veermaster are back in stock.
I just checked and there they are. I was
just about to get another couple of pounds
and noticed that that they jacked up the
price by $22.80 a pound. WTF?
You can get it in tins at smokingpipes for
$1.81 more per pound if you subtract shipping.
Jars cost more than that.

In stock at smokingpipes.

I saw the same thing last night and was going to order 2lbs from mars then noticed the price went stright to another etailer and made my order. I understand a few dollars but the last lbs from mars cost me 34.99 and went to 57.99 thats to much. Good way to lose business.

I bought 15 tins at smokingpipes.
Like I said, 9 tins is a pound and
costs a buck eighty-one more than
Mars, not including shipping.
I only buy bulk to save; if ya can
get it cheaper in tins...fuggitaboutit.

That was quite a price hike...65%??

I notice several other tobac's went up in price, at several e-tailers. Did, possibly, a new tax come into play?

smokingpipes hasn't raised their prices.
(maybe a little, if any - tins of HV
went up 59 cents since June)

I've seen several reviewers call this stuff mistakenly "Beermaster" instead of "Veermaster". lol.

I'm thinking about trying a tin of this, though I doubt it has an aroma of beer.

They have some weird "Old English" style font
on the tins. The V looks just like a B.

I bought this in a 50g tin directly from Dan Pipe Tobacco - the manufacteur of this fine flake and i really like it.

Yes, going around the Horn was a dangerous and arduous voyage, a lot can go wrong that close to Antarctica, and the prevailing Antarctic Westerlies made the outbound trip a tacking nightmare from hell. Tough men, those sailors.

Natch
