Just out of curiosity, list how many different tobaccos you keep in your rotation.

I have nine, broken into three groups, loose cut blends, flakes, rubbed blends; spread over four different manufacturers.
Mac Baren, Davidoff, Peterson, Escudo.

I'm wondering if I have too many in the rotation, or is it about right?

Generally 3 or 4; enough to give me a nice choice. Of course if I smoked more, I'd likely want to up that a bit! (Just finished off some Carter Hall yesterday, so only have three at the moment: Royal Jersey Perique, Sir WR, Squadron Leader -- when one of those gets low, I'll either open a virginia flake or one of the three Revelation clones)

I keep 20 small jars upstairs near my pipes, and that represents most of what I smoke each week. But I've got probably 50 or so open jars in the basement, so when I absolutely have to have that particular blend, it's only a 10 second walk to get there.

Two.

Year in, year out.

Embarcadero?
Not familiar with that one
It's a red Va flake with some oriental. Very good.

I have about 20 open. I've kind of gone off the Lat blends in the warmer weather of late so need to pack these away.

I used to keep no more than 5 tins open; now I must have 30-40. But I have some reason for so many in that I keep segregated regular from HO tobacco, and naturally I have to have an ample selection of each!

Sitting on 6 blends that are out of their tins. 3 I tend to smoke on the move, and the other 3 I tend to smoke exclusively at home.

A most lamentable situation which must be remedied as quickly as possible ! :bounce:

Very subtle stuff that can take a while to "get." But once you do, wow !

Given a forced choice (desert island) it would be Embarcadero over VFV.

I've got open jars of tobacco stashed in several cupboards, along with a few tins and lots of samples. A pure guess on my part would be at least 35-40. I like all types of blends and smoke them regularly.

Two:

Mephisto and SPC Plum Pudding. Mephisto is my go to right now because it pretty much has to go. It's old enough already!

It does sound like something I should try, so I'll add it to my list!
Thanks!

So Mike, can you answer the question I've had for years; are you six months ahead of us in the Southern Hemisphere, or six months behind?
