OK - we're moving right along here.

A comment on the saucy madness that is to come. It would be a sad day if the poor schmuck got ten or twelve little bottles of A1..or whatever. I think we should do a 'Sauce Sign Up' wherein each pilot that wants to do the Sauce Sending will announce the item they will be sending. Once listed (first come, etc.) that Sauce Selection will be considered 'taken'. And No...Dark Star, etc. does not constitute a sauce. Remember, there are many kinds of sauce (local brews are highly suggested). Among these are 'hot sauce', 'BBQ sauce ', ' steak sauce', etc. I think for our purposes here we can limit ourselves to those genres. So no lemon creme or Hershey's, etc. After all this is a Hot mission - so let's make 'em HOT! There was a store we used to visit whenever we went down to the beach. All they had was hot sauce...about 300 varieties. The coolest thing about' em was the names. This is gonna be righteous!

Once the declarations start arriving I will list the chosen sauce next to the name of the pilot on the Mission Roster.

pepper plant hot sauce from gilroy! or i could find a nice local BBQ sauce. whatever makes the mission bloodier.

this one is going to be all "BOOM! SPLAT!"

Think I may have to trek to new orleans to get something fun for this one.

Hopefully the victim won't be reading the thread; kind of spoils the surprise if they know what's coming once the boxes arrive. Still, while it isn't exotic, Texas Pete is made here in town. . . .

I am headed to the local butcher shop this week. They have been family owned since the 1960's.

Let me see what I can come up with!

Western Family Mayonaise?

Come on now...stop being like that.

OH! By the way, you can 'adjust' whatever sauce you come up with. That's only reasonable since one thing might not be available, or you stumble upon that treasured jar of 'Two Holes Burning" down at the local Piggly Wiggly.

Geez, Commander, first you order us to get saucy, and then when Gravel does you tell him to knock it off--what gives?

I'll hold off on claiming a sauce myself until I see if I can get some ghost pepper oil from my local spice shop...

There's a local BBQ place down here that I think makes excellent sauce, but I don't believe they jar it for long term storage. I think they just make what they need on a daily basis. I wonder if I can find a sanitary way of getting some sent.

Until I determine that, I'm not going to claim a sauce just yet.

just can it. you probably already have the mason jars! i might see if i can't find another rare delicacy in the east bay to surprise the poor schmuck with. with my new job i travel to a lot of... less populated regions. might find something sweet in yosemite or fresno... heh...
