I'm looking to share the driving and expenses to attend the show for Saturday only. I live in the Raleigh area. PM me if interested. Thanks!!

A reminder that the show is next week.

I'll be setting up a sign on a table back in the food area for a forum meet & greet at 3 PM. I hope attending members can drop by to say hello.

I'm driving down and back on Saturday, if anyone wants a ride, give me a shout. I'm coming from the Hagerstown MD area, down I-81>17>95, through Winchester. Leaving MD around 6 AM, leaving the show around 6 PM.

Sitting at a table alone with a sign that reads RIFF RAFF , might not give you the attention you are looking for :p

Yes, sometimes choosing that screen name wasn't my best moment...

Here's the sign I made:

Al - good move on the sign. See you there. Too bad you can't make the dinner Fri and show and show Neill your new Comoyish Howell.

I'll see Neill at some point, I'm going to get him to sign the pipe bag! (I hope)

That's a great idea! I might just borrow it sometime.

I hope you guys have a great time! I can't make it this year but I'm looking forward to making most shows, including Richmond, next year. :)

I'll be there on Sunday. So excited. And taking a pair of my friends with me for their first time.

Well, it was a great show. I put some pictures and descriptions up in the album below. I was able to meet forum members from the Bob, PipesMagazine, PipeSmokersForums and the SmokersForums. Including Abe Herbaugh from the Bob.

This year, there were many pipes/makers/vendors who I had hoped to meet.

Member Lestrout looked to be winning the Slow Smoking Contest, I hope to hear that he did (I had to leave).

I didn't buy any pipes, but did score a good deal on some MM965 and a nice six pipe rack for my cabinet.

The CORPS guys sure know how to put on a fine show.

Al,
THANKS so much for the slide show of CORPS. I am really missing not being there this weekend, but a family wedding took precedence. Glad to see you scored some 965. Must be Murray's Blending??
And thanks for the pictures of Joe Skoda's work, it's magnificent. He and I will be rooming together at the Las Vegas show in several weeks. Joe's a great guy and an incredible pipe maker.

No, it was new stuff (which I like). $7/tin, no tax or shipping, that's a decent deal. I did find this neat little six-pipe rack. A few minutes with a jigsaw and some stain and it was ready to hold all of my chubby 9483's, which don't fit well into older racks.

Joe's work is incredible and I had a great chat with him. I talked to the NASPC folks, the CORPS members, etc. A very fulfilling day but you were missed.

Nice retrofitting on the rack Al. I've a bunch of those stubby Rhodesians as well, great smokers but tough to fit into some pipe racks. Well done.
Thanks for the comments, and I'm really having pipe show withdrawal right now knowing that many of my friends are roaming the show at this moment. Well at least Vegas isn't too far off into the future.
Glad to see you got to talk with the CORPS guys and NASPC guys as well, they are some fine people and truly love the hobby.
