Well, the other day, as often happens, the owner of the B&M I frequent brought in a box of old estates for me to look at. He is not as familiar with pedigrees and brands as I am and so I always go through them to see if there is anything that is special or unique. Best find was a 1918 Dunhill several months ago, but there have been some other nice pipes as well.
Anyway, this time I found an old Kaywoodie with the white club in the shank as opposed to the stem. I was curious about it as it had fantastic grain, although it barely peeks through the heavy patina. I found on http://www.pipephil.eu/logos/en/logo-kaywoodie.html that the shank logo was particular to Kaywoodie Super Grains produced before 1938.
I guess I'm curious about what other information any of you can provide, as well as what would be a fair price to sell the pipe for? Unfortunately I dont have any pictures of the pipe, but if there is a lot of interest I can try to get some.
