So I have a C&R permit from ATF and do a good deal of buying ammo and firearms for my collection with it. I live in a small town where crime really isn't an issue, heck you can leave your doors unlocked and nobody would bother you. Anyhow, I have been getting annoyed because my purchases need to have a signature of someone 21 or older for delivery. Each package, at least the last 15 or so, has been left on the porch without so much as a knock or doorbell ring, and nobody signing for the packages. Mind you sometimes it's a ton of ammo, sometimes it is an SKS, sometimes just a little ammo or gun parts. Regardless it is "supposed" to be signed for and it isn't being signed for. Heck the package today, I got an email saying it had been delivered so I called home and asked someone to look on the porch and it was there. I tried to be nice and call UPS about it and explain that nobody is signing for these packages that are regulated by ATF. Either he is forging a signature to make his life easier or he is going back without a signature, regardless I have tracking numbers and receipts for all of it and nobody has signed for them. I told UPS what was in these boxes and they didn't care, so I told them I was going to contact ATF....okay by then I was mad and that portion wasn't tactful, but before that I was a perfect gentleman.
I contacted both the ATF national crime line and the regional office about it. I then put in a small order, just for 20 rounds, but even that requires a signature and he surely won't knock. Once that order is delivered I will again contact UPS and ask the morons who signed for the package and then ATF again. I'd love to have ATF come out the day it's due to arrive and just wait there to see this crap happening. Dude needs to be in cuffs in my opinon for either the forgery, if that's the case, or the leaving of firearms without signature. Needless to say that with this happening constantly over the last year or longer I am a bit on the upset side and plan to make sure it doesn't happen again. That's my rant for today.
