I love the JKP! I've been smoking it almost every evening for a couple months now. I use small Jost or Tinsky pipes for the JKP. I don't cut the tobacco but just kind of pull the tobacco apart and tear the leafs into smaller pieces. When I've got enough tobacco to fill the pipe I sorta roll...

Probably bulldogs. I've got a pretty good mix, though. I like pretty much standard shapes but I like them better if they have a bit of a "wrinkle". As an example, the large Tinsky I'm smoking now is panelled. I think it's the little "wrinkles" that add character to a pipe. Charlie R

I'm looking forward to the show. I hear it's sold out. Any idea of who the vendors will be? I do have a friend, Rod Margherio, who's taken a couple of tables. He's always got good stuff.

Does anyone plan to attend this event? It is to be held on February 16 at the Airport Hilton. I'm planning to attend and hope I can meet a few of you there. Charlie

When you think of specific pipe makers, do you think of anything specific? For instance, when I think of Roush or J.T. Cooke, I think of blasts. When I think of Castello, I think of the hawkbill shape. Regretfully, I don't have any pipes by Roush or Cooke, nor do I have a Castello hawkbill...
