I currently own a small boutique wine/liquor store. I say currently because the economy is about to force me (and my small but dedicated staff) to unemployment. I think the lower Hudson Valley all went to the same AA meeting!

I'm certainly no expert, but didn't smell anything like A-1. This was my first tobacco purchase (last Saturday) and it smoked cooler than the 2 samples I tried when I bought the pipe a few days earlier (3 Oaks Syrian and Maltese Falcon).

I am faced with the same situation. I recently got my first pipe and have tried 3 different tobaccos. Thinking I may want to start trying some Virginias rather than blends with latakia first. I know there is a tendency to buy on-line and the fact that I live in NY with their crazy tobacco tax...

I started using The Art of Shaving system more than 6 months ago, Sandalwood version. While they tell you the $22 size lasts 3 months, I've only had to replace the pre-shave oil. The shaving cream looks like I have another 6 months or more in the jar. The best stuff I've used so far.

I am just starting on this journey and also live in the Hudon Valley (well the lower part) and would be interested in a meeting if it wasn't all the way up in Albany. There is a club up there already.

Just found this forum. Thinking about taking up the pipe, but haven't actually purchased one yet. Will browse around a little before I start asking lots of questions.
