Ordered the Frog Morton today from "smokingpipes" along with a couple of $55, "4.9" rated Peterson estates. I thought the former was just something the rest of you had beaten me to years ago. Glad to learn several of us are at least curious.
When I first started hearing of the stuff I had to check it out for that reason alone---it's a very funny name. As well, cocoa/chocolate and latakia seemed an unlikely combination at the time. Today I buy it 8oz at a time.
The subject of this thread has sparked some curiosity about BCF as I...
Yep, that's the one. I gave in and got the Brebbia from him---Mike G.--- as well that weekend. I have a giant version of that pipe minus the silver band and the finished chamber. I bought an estate oom paul from a guy on Ebay who alleged to have somewhere in the neighborhood of 100 Ardors...
If you're not opposed to buying estate pipes and you're dying to get your first Ardor---regardless of size--- I recently got one in excellent condition for as little as $125 from briarblues.com. I'd also keep a close eye on the Italian section of pulversbriar.com. That guy has had somewhere...
Thanks to everyone who replied to this thread. I just placed an order for the below. Granted a few are off topic but I look forward to Nightcap and Commonwealth Mixture:
* Dunhill Nightcap
* Esoterica Margate
* GLP Key Largo
* H&H Larry's Blend
* H&H Marquee Cerberus
* H&H Marquee Magnum Opus...
"Russ" as in H&H's Russ O? If so, thanks for chiming in here. Where (outside of Albany) can I get the Marquee Series Cerberus (as well as the Larry's Blend)? Though more appropriate for a different thread, I'm dying to try the Marquee Magnum Opus as well.
Thanks,

Just saw a Youtube review done by a guy from Ga. He couldn't say enough great things about it. He did however, caution viewers to eat a hearty meal in advance of smoking a small bowl.
Here's to hoping smokingpipes.com has tins available.
Thanks,

Thanks. I haven't tried any of the Esoterica blends besides Penzance. The Margate sounds good so I'll add that to the next order list. I've not tried the Abingdon either. Odyssey on the other hand is one of several of my favorite GLP blends but I don't find the latakia to be as prominent as...
Thanks. Already have a tin here at home, actually. While it's one of my favorite Pease blends I don't find it quite as Latakia-forward as Northwoods---which is odd considering the GLP pipedia.org page lists Odyssey as one of their fuller blends.
I've tried McConnell's Latakia Flake which is...
