I'm a big fan of Fall too. Fresh apples, grapes ripe on the vine, crisp nights and clean air. Summer is just too hot to properly enjoy the experience of a warm briar in the hand.

It took me a while to figure out that getting into online shouting matches with people who richly deserved it was about as useful as peeing into the wind. Plus, it made me look about as stupid as the jerk who started it. Now I just mutter, "moron," and move on.

Thanks for posting the pics, looks like it's coming along well! Looking forward to reading how things come along. I've got a saw similar to yours, and they are awesome.

I'm in the Lucite camp if I have to choose. Low maintenance, no worry about the taste if you haven't smoked the pipe for a few months. I've also got a few old pipes where the Vulcanite button is almost down to the nub due to years of polishing and oxidation.

I remember using a phone that weighed and looked the same as a plastic cinder block. I miss the sound of eggs frying when I brought it to my ear. :twisted:

My wife usually takes the pictures for my pipes. This one was sitting on the computer for me when I woke up after finishing off the creature the night before. I thought it was pretty funny.

In my living room with either a book or my mandolin in my hands. A great way to spool down at the end of the day.

I have quite a few Stanwells that I reach for on a regular basis. One designed by Sixten Ivarsson was a contributing factor for my getting into pipe making. Very decent smoking pipes.

Rad Davis and Trever Talbert are two who spring to mind. Tyler Lane is another, though he's only making the occasional pipe for sale. Jody Davis makes beautiful pipes, though I've never had the fortune to smoke one myself.

I work in a pipe-friendly environment. :D

I have a dragon tribal tattoo on my hip and have always liked it. I've been planning on a raven for the other hip, but bills always seem to budge ahead in line when it comes to finances. Hopefully in the next year though.

I've been running for the last four years. I was overweight, every day at 5:00 I'd find it hard to keep my eyes open and February usually meant that I'd be sick at least one week in four. I like to play the mandolin. I'm not good, just don't have the time to practice all that much. It's nice to sit down with it and pick away though.
