    My New Tamper

Speaking to the shell casing tamper idea ... it could actually be a dual purpose smoke tool as the open end could be used as a cigar punch cutter. Sharpen the open end and then fashion a suitable cover for that end and you have a pipe tamper and punch cutter. :)

    Small Cigar Recommendations?

I'll second whoever said J Fuege Origen Originals ... great little smokes (a 5er costs $10 at my local B&M) ... Another good, short smoke is the Cuchillos Cubanos line from D Giolito (maker of Illusione). When it comes to small perfectos my favorite is the Ashton VSG Enchantment ... but it's...

Joplin, MO tornado info (it was another VERY bad one)

    Best pre-drilled kit?

Looking for opinions on the best pre-drilled briar pipe kit out there ... I've been looking at Pimo's kit but was wanting to hear opinions on other kits as well before i pulled the trigger.

    Any pipe carvers?

This sounds like a lot of fun and I've been thinking about trying to carve my own pipe for a few months now ... I don't want to commit as the next couple of months are going to be very busy with a big cross-country relocation (more like a vertical move) coming up but if I can carve something I...

    What are you carving?

Both pipes you posted look great but I REALLY like this one! What kind of flaw in the chamber are you talking about? Pics?

Hello from Cincinnati (soon to be Tampa)

Not really ... I have one pipe (a wooden Lucienne) which was given to me a few months back by a friend for my 30th birthday. And the only little pouch of tobacco I have is a generic Black Cavendish. I'm going to meet some fellow cigar smokers this weeknd for our bi-weekly herf but was thinking...

    Let's see your smoking chair

Bump ... I'd like to see some more smoking chairs! I'm gearing up to retrieve on of my grandpa's old chairs and clean it up to turn into my smoking chair. I'll post pics once it's obtained and in presentable condition. :)

    Smoking in a church

That looks like a peaceful place. And I'm pretty sure I love your desk! Would it be wrong of me to say that I'd like to see more pics? :)

    What Are You Reading?

I have now, for the fourth time, picked back up "Off to the Side: A Memoir" by Jim Harrison. I also only have three or four chapters left on Russell Chatham's "Dark Waters" ... if I could only remember where I put it. I did recently finish "Kitchen Confidential" by Anthony Bourdain ... I...

Hello from Cincinnati (soon to be Tampa)

Hello ... I found my way here via Neill's blog, apassionforpipes. Thanks to my grandpa I have a long running romance with pipes although I've only ever smoked a pipe once (and it was recently). I currently enjoy smoking cigars but am looking forward to digging around and learning more about the...
