    Question re jarring up Haddo's

I like both ideas. I'll check for a date and wait to open it if it already 6 months or more of age, and if it does, I'll just leave it in the can. Otherwise, I'll crack it open and jar it up and maybe try a couple of ounces of it fresh and try to wait at least a couple of years before I try...

    Question re jarring up Haddo's

I'm contemplating the purchase of a one pound tin of Haddo's and was wondering if I should open the tin and jar it up immediately in several pint and half pint jars, or, should I just leave it in the can for later. It seems that Haddo's really shines with a little age, but at 70, I don't think...

Billiard or Dublin - Which for What?

I think I've read that a large billiard or a pot was the best pipe for English/Balkan blends, but I've not read anything about the Dublin and was wondering if what I think I've read about billiards and pots was correct and what are the best tobaccos to smoke in a Dublin. Any thoughts? TLA

Need help with clogged draught holes

A couple of C&D tobaccos which I like, Oriental Silk and Habana Daydream, are so finely cut, I call it a “diced” ribbon cut, that, more often than not, the tobacco winds up clogging the pipe's draught hole. The majority of my pipes use a balsa filter so there's no possibility of using a pipe...

Tobacco Sales At SP and P&C for the month of September

Granted, Smoking Pipes recently raised their prices for C&D blends by a couple of bucks and change, but with the 15% discount you're still getting access to a pretty good stable of quality tobaccos for a shade over $30 a pound. Some which I consider worthy of attention include: Big 'n' Burley...
