Fed three ferals, and am a quarter of the way through this bowl of pre-2014 Edward G. Robinson's Pipe Blend in a 2014 Basil Meadows smooth slight bend squashed tomato with an aluminum band and a black pearl acrylic stem in the military mount style. Ice water and bergs is my drink. Watching Mad Dog Russo.

Following Zippos lead with Urban Cowboy in a Pete system B42 smooth bent apple with fishtail stem. Another mug of cowboy coffee. Still damp, overcast, and cold. May follow his lead and head to the Legion for a pint after we get back from the ranch. Although with this weather think I would rather settle in by the fireplace with 3 fingers of Yukon Jack, lol.

Heading out with Jacksie, and I will be smoking Schwab's Proud Sultan in the Hardcastle's Crown bent billiard.

Btw, I just happened to drop in at Watch City, and the Rouxgaroux blend was just listed at noon today. I made a purchase. Co-created by our own @JimInks so it's got to be good, right?

I think so. :)

Now smoking year 2020 Watch City Rouxgaroux in a smooth medium bend 2021 Peterson POTY Natural 4AB No. 6/500 military mount with a silver cap and a tapered black vulcanite AB stem.

This afternoon I brought out a Peterson System that I have named “bong” because of a shallow hole in the side property positioned for a carburetor. Great mild smoker which I needed for the funk I’m in

Enjoyed a tasty lunch, and am half way through this bowl of year 2016 D&R Three Sails in a dark brown smooth straight post-WW2-pre-1962 LHS Certified Purex 24 squat bulldog with a nickel ferrule and built in stinger and a black acrylic saddle stem. Lavazza Classico, neat, is my drink. Watching the Braves-White Sox game. Never liked inter-league play, but I love baseball. Sleepy Suzy is by my side. Molly Danger is snoozin' by my feet. All the ferals, except for Sam the Scamp are outside.

Just picked out 2 Petes and 1/4 filled a pouch with Rangers Urban Cowboy. And about to free wheel down to the pub. It's been a glorious day, might as well finish it off with a couple of pints in the local pubs beer garden 😎
This story could be about Zippo, Ranger and myself.

Zippo would be the Irish man.

Ok here is the story.

Zippo goes to the pub. He orders 3 pints. He the proceeds to take a drink out of each pint until all 3 are gone. Zippo calls the bartender over and asks for 3 more pints. The bartender said why don’t I just get you one and when it gets close to the end I’ll have you another to keep them fresh.

Zippo said I have 2 pipe friends Ranger and Ukedude in America we pledged to have a drink together at the same time. They are doing the same thing in America.

Zippo continued this for months, until one day he comes in an orders 2 beers and drinks them he waves over the bartender and ask for two more pints. The bartender tell Zippo how sorry he is that one of his American friends passed away.

Zippo said, no they didn’t pass away, there are doing great. My wife told she would leave me if I didn’t quit drinking.

Half way through this bowl of year 2013 Stonehaven in a straight black sandblasted 1957 Barling Exel 249 Fossil T.V.F. black billiard with a silver banded military mount and a black ebonite tapered stem. Gave this pipe a good clean the other day, and am getting a good performance today.

Just up, the personal "renovation" is off to a bad start. Anyway, I'll keep at it and make incremental progress. Cold Turkey is never good unless it's a sandwich.

Having H&H to start my day and I have an image of my new reworked legend. It's my last fresh cob and I don't have a Danish stem for it. The original Legend (left and left in centre image) is developing a very nice patina. When I order more cobs I'll order Danish stems for them all, they're much better than the regular stems and the same price as replacement stems. Maybe I'll keep the original stems and make a piece of art of them I can't justify a forever stem for my cobs yet...but the stem on the Cobbler is gorgeous and it is acrylic.

I love that Peterson B42 shape. I once had a deluxe system natural finish in that shape. It's on my shortlist of one's that got away.

Sneaking in another bowl before an early dinner. Trail Boss in a Sav Hercules 320EX with oolong tea. Wifey having leftover turkey but I bought some nice ribeyes on sale yesterday so think I'll have one of them. Wanted to try out my new tenderizer tool, lol. Can any of you guys recommend a good dry rub for steak. Market has 10 different kinds. Don't want to waste money trying them all.

Busy day. The Sun finally came out and warmed to 50 degrees. Dr. apt - all well. First pipe of the day. A Soren Danish handmade I bought in the 70s. Vulcanite stem. Great partial sandblast sitter. Smoking Stokkebye Luxury Bullseye Flake 2010 vintage.View attachment 17172
That looks suspiciously like a reworked gavel WZ. Is this an April Fool's post?;)

Nearing the last third of this bowl of well aged 4Noggins Bald Headed Teacher in a medium brown, smooth octagonal paneled bowl and shank, medium bend 2016 Tim West Book Keeper 6 with a black acrylic saddle stem. Been busy cleaning three really old estate pipes, and taking out recycle. Ice water and bergs is my drink.

Back on the bluff again prepping for high winds and 1 inch of rain. I'm enjoying Prince Albert in an MM diplomat bent apple with original plastic stem which I like, as it clenches easily with no potential wear on my teeth like the acrylic stems on my others. If I only had the ability to have one pipe, I could be happy with a plain old MM cob.
