Almost half way through this bowl of year 2014 Edgeworth Ready Rubbed Match in a 2018 full bend smooth Terracotta Peterson XL315 System Standard military mount with a nickel cap and a flared black vulcanite p-lip stem. I let Sam the Scamp out to roam around the house a bit, but I'm keeping both eyes on her to make sure nobody bothers her.

Enjoyed a tasty Snap Dragon apple, and am passing the first third of this bowl of D&R Penhooker in a 1990 straight dark brown Commemorative reproduction of the 1890 Peterson Patent System 12393 stack billiard with a silver band and a bowed black acrylic 32 AB long stem p-lip. I may end the day with this smoke.

@Eutychus "In like a lion and out like a lamb."

My mistake, that's March. I suppose the unsettled weather effect is location specific.

On another note, while in University, I heard a recording of Eliot reciting the poem you quote. His voice is disturbing and lends the poem a surreal quality, quite unsettling.

Enjoyed a bowl of SBG in my big Lorenzetti while I searched for this recording. Think I'll have another pipe with Old Professor, it seems more appropriate to Eliot's brooding drone.

Thanks for the link! I’ll grab my copy of the poem and listen to it.

Good Afternoon friends and fellow BoBs.
It's an absolutely beautiful day in olde blighty today, My weather centre is reading 20° which is a little unprecedented for April, which is normally our rainiest month. But anyway, today I'm going to start with some Savinelli Leonardo in a Savinelli Leonardo 74/500. I will sit in the garden and watch Mrs Z Potter around with her planting as I'll throw the ball around for Frodo

Sam the Scamp woke me up by banging at the door to get out of the bathroom, so I've passed the half way mark of this bowl of Watch City English Ernie-ental in a straight dark brown and tan rusticated Peterson 2023 Saint Patrick’s Day 264 Canadian with an Irish flag colored ferrule and tapered black acrylic stem. Watching The Adventures of Superman with the Scamp by my side.

I recently picked up a vintage pipe rack on ebay. I like the detail on top marking each slot by day of the week (even though I won't use it that way). A no-brand "Imported Briar" straight billiard pipe with what looks to be a Lucite saddle stem was included. I had no particular interest in the pipe, so I made an offer just for what I was willing to pay for the pipe rack, and it was accepted. I cleaned up the pipe a little before smoking it for the first time. This morning I took Jacksie for a walk and loaded the pipe with Proud Sultan. It seemed to smoke well. When my Sutliff Rum & Maple arrives, I'll probably dedicate this pipe to it.

Enjoyed a tasty lunch, and am half way through this bowl of year 2016 D&R Three Sails in a dark brown smooth straight post-WW2-pre-1962 LHS Certified Purex 24 squat bulldog with a nickel ferrule and built in stinger and a black acrylic saddle stem. Lavazza Classico, neat, is my drink. Watching the Braves-White Sox game. Never liked inter-league play, but I love baseball. Sleepy Suzy is by my side. Molly Danger is snoozin' by my feet. All the ferals, except for Sam the Scamp are outside.

That's not a pipe, it's a sacrificial altar!

Back on the bluff checking out how all the rain and wind affected trees, etc. Thankfully, everything is fine. Having a bowl of Esoterica Dunbar 2023 in a Savinelli Trevi 320EX. Heading up to Scottsville KY for the annual Mennonite auction to check out all the old hand tools, etc. It is usually quite an event, and I see some of the men smoke pipes-usually a Viking or Falcon looking pipe. I'll see if they will tell me about their tobacco.

Continuing to be a lovely warm day here in Ye merry olde England, surprisingly their is a storm named Kathleen, that was supposed to hit us today, but it seems to have lingered over Ireland, and is giving the poor Irish a battering. So I remain in the garden basking in the sunshine. When I suddenly realised that Ranger sent me a new supply of Tobacco, one of which is his self blended Round Up. So I've picked a Petersons Tankard from the rack, and I'm about to try Round up for the first time.

Good morning, for 10 more minutes. Received my call back today so Monday my world changes abruptly, I'm sure you'll all hear about it. In the mean time I have housework and yard and groceries to attend to, and work boots to oil. Having a bowl of H&H in the Legend with coffee, out of milk again, of course.

Had this "Not No Local" from Gatlin Burliers around since Christmas (it was a present from my daughter) and haven't really enjoyed it until the other day. Tasted like garbage in every briar I tried, but on Wednesday I put it in a MM Night Rider, and Magic happened!
Having some more now, instead of doing projects. I started to get busy, but my legs said "no." 🤣

Gratuitous inclusion of Otis.

Passing the half way mark of this bowl of pre-2014 Edward G. Robinson's Pipe Blend in a 2014 Basil Meadows smooth slight bend squashed tomato with an aluminum band and a black pearl acrylic stem in the military mount style.
