    What are you smoking?

A blend of cube cut Burley and a Vanilla Cavendish I mixed 50/50 from bulk stock. It';s not bad for a daily smoke.

    Feedback on a blend?

I'll have some red cake this weekend....I'll let y'all know. I'm thinking of a 2:1 ratio of Cavendish to Red Cake. I want to preserve the dark, sweet flavor.

    Feedback on a blend?

I suppose when I'm ready for a test tester or so, I'll pm them for a snail mail address and send them a little bit to sample. :D I'm not planning on marketing the blend, really, I'm just playing with the tobaccos to make something nice and I'll freely share the final mix ratios, etc. That...

I think I found my new fav!

My local Tobacconist has it in bulk, cellared. He bought 100 pounds and is matching the online prices best price.

    Feedback on a blend?

Right now, I'm smoking my own blend, and I almost have it right, but I'm missing something. 1/2 Black Cavendish 5/12 Cyprian Latakia 1/12 Perique Skosh of ground nutmeg wetted with some tawny port and jarred for a month and then air dried and hand rubbed. Help me get this right and I'll call...

I think I found my new fav!

Wow, first pipe of the morning, and I felt like I'd flashed back to my misspent youth and accidentally loaded the bowl with an entirely different kind of smoking material. :drunken: It's been a while since I got a nico-buzz off the first pipe of the day.

    Any port drinkers out there?

Graham's 20 year old is my preference.

Parody video on online tobacco retailers

This is funny on so many levels, not the least of which was that, if you'll pardon the pun, Hitler was an antismoking Nazi. :joker:

    Any port drinkers out there?

I love a good port. I actually prefer a Tawny Port, and a good smoke. Either a Cuban Cigar or a good stout English blend in the pipe.

I think I found my new fav!

No problem. Apparently, my cat likes it too. She just jumped up in my lap and was sniffing the stem as some smoke was curling out, and started purring loudly.

I think I found my new fav!

Sex in a pipe.......that's what I'd compare it to. It's a mix of unflavored brown Cavendish, small leaf Latakia and Macedonian Bright. It has a really pleasant aroma, a bit of a nutty undertone, with a sweetness on the top from the Bright. It pleases the whole tongue, and if you don't go nuts...

I think I found my new fav!

Well, I do have to say I used a strategic stinky tobacco first. I chopped up a Swisher Sweet into a flake cut and loaded that into a junky old Bryco I have from my evil younger days when I used to have to put a brass screen in the bottom of a pipe (I miss the 70's),m and it STUNK! :affraid...

I think I found my new fav!

Dunhill 965! It's got the robustness I like, and burns dry and has a great taste and room presence. It also has a significant Nicotine punch. You are reading a happy man this evening. My wife even likes the room presence, too. 8)

Welcome aboard! In my limited, so far, time here, I've found this to be a good bunch of folk.

    G'day from Indiana

Well, thanks! Yeah, it's a bit on the infamous side. Do a google search on me,

    Syrian vs. cyprian

Well, I just tried some Cyprian today and frankly, found it far too mild and flavorless. It was the McClelland 2040 bulk Cyprian. I bought a 56 gram sample of it. Initial lightup was nice, and it has a nice spicy fragrance, but about halfway through, it started tasting like Ivory Soap. I'm...

    No Pipe Smoking Smilie?

Don't laugh, but this is a Pipe Smokers site, and you don't have a Pipe Smoking Smilie? I'm shocked.......shocked, I say. :affraid:

    G'day from Indiana

Glad to find the site. I actually found y'all when I was trying to track down the manufacturer of an oddly named tobacco that translated to Horse Manure. :p I'm a Briar or Meerschaum smoker, and like dark, sweet tobaccos. Matter of fact, I'm enjoying an 80% Black Cavendish, 10% Perique and...
