Rev, Glad the experience was great.  I knew it would be!  Grant is as high quality an individual as I know, and he's a great pipe maker.   I can't wait to see what you start making! Thanks also for the overly high compliment. Tyler

I would recommend the USA as a separate stamp. It'll be a LOT easier to stamp. You'll have to be careful if you want it centered in the same spot as pictured, but I'd get it separate.

Wow, thanks for all the kind words guys. Really, you have this all wrong. It's not out of some selfless quality that I talk pipes and try to help out new pipe makers. It's that I really enjoy it. Thanks none the less.

You're talking about the Leaf, I assume? The owner there is a nice guy and a big pipe collector. I met him in Chicago at the pipe show this summer. I later went and spent a pleasant few hours with him at his shop. I bet he'd be very supportive. I'm in Midland, and would have loved to make...

This comment surprises me a little. Perhaps the surprise rests in a different sense of what the "cool" pipes are? To me the cool pipes are the super-high grades of the Scandinavian and North American carvers. This might not be what is meant though. These are, in my experience, on the small...
