Have a friend in Florida who made a Grabow themed leather coaster for me. As a thank you I made this tamper to send to him. Made from briar and a 500 Mag. shell casing. I split the casing and added a vulcanite ring between the two pieces.

When not restoring pipes I like to make a pipe now and then or a tamper. I often make tampers from an old pipe. Whack off the bowl add a brass tip and insert a pick.This one was made from an old Linkmans Liverpool shape-9719- that had a badly cracked bowl.

My pride and joy. It's a Grabow "Skyliner" store display. Holds 108 when filled have about 75 on it now but have most needed to fill it. Just gotta get them shined up. Sparta made pipes from the 50's up to the 90's. Most of these I have restored or re-finished.Don't know how those cobs got in...

Hi folks. My name is Ed and I'm a 61 YO retired construction worker. I spend my time in a small shop in our basement working on pipes. I like restoring or re-finishing them and also make a few pipes and tampers. I'm a die hard Grabow freak and they make up the biggest part of my collection.
