ahh bug poop, I've always found it adds a nice flavor to a tobacco. Do you all smoke the OTC stuff or just go with the "good" stuff?

Also what one persons idea of a good smoking pipe could be total garbage to another person for whatever reason. I'm sure that has a lot to do with it too.

I'm always looking for the next great smoker, but I have to admit I definitely gravitate towards certain shapes that I like and some brands to a lesser extent

I don't have a big collection yet and havent really been smoking too long to make a good determination, but I have a Grabow that was gifted to em that I think smokes pretty damn good if you ask me.

Interesting I didn't know that. It does make sense though I suppose. I guess my biggest worry is added nicotine or other things like that. Basically all the crap they put in cigarettes and those nasty OTC cigars you can get. Especially as a former cigarette smoker that kind of ting concerns me...

I could say I feel the same way. I mean I have 5 pipes now. Do I really need 5...no. Do I need more...no. Will I buy more....yes lol

Maybe it would even mellow them a bit lol.

Think about it if its really old whatever could have been living in there is probably long dead by now anyway and then just give it a good cleaning, hit it with some high test alcohol and fire will kill anything else that could be still living.

You don't really need a pipe for each tobacco, just a pipe for each type so to speak. I think a lot of people have a Latikia pipe, an aromatic pipe and one for Virginias. Then I think some will break that down more having one for straight Virginias and one for Va/pers. I don't really worry too...

I like estate and heres why. First I've always been into vintage stuff and antiques, especially stuff I can use. So saying Im smoking a pipe that's 40 or 50 years old is just cool to me. I also subscribe to the notion that "they don't make em like they used to". Things were just made...
