    Tobaccocellar.com

For the life of me, I can't figure out how to let the system know if I use just a bowl's worth on tobaccocellar.com. I know I could reduce the ounces by .1, but it doesn't reflect the rss feed, so I know there must be another way. Anyone have a tip?

    Bowl shape to tobacco style

I often read this or that tobacco would work really well in X pipe, but haven't found a resource which has this voodoo listed in any sort of form. I imaging this is likely due to personal preferences, but curious if anyone has come up with a good general guideline to help us improve.

    Adventure

Some of you know how this works. Firefox started this with his sig, so I returned appropriate commands. I'll let him go from here, but feel free to discuss.

    Shadow strike!

I should have known something was wrong. The sun was out, but things felt, well, dark. When the mail person handed me my packages, again, the lights seemed to dim - there was one too many boxes. And one had a label which was awfully suspicious: JR.com...oh no! I tried to run, but it was too...

    Flash Review: Erinmore Flake

The last from a recent sample batch from Mr Harris: Erinmore Flake. A very delicate tan flake that smells of apricot or pineapple in the jar. I broke it into chunks, let it dry for a few hours, then gravity packed it into my Peterson 303. First light brought the essence of what is most...

    Flash Reciew: Tinderbox Captain Spice

(this is going to be really quick...you'll see why) Another in a set of samples from Kyle, this coarse cut black cavendish smells of vanilla in the jar. Gravity fed into a cob. First light didn't catch, but instantly reminded me of pumpkin patches and fall. I was excited to get this rolling...

If you have Netflix, do yourself the favor and watch Troll Hunter. Force yourself to get through the first 30 minutes, and you'll be in for a treat.

    Flash Review: Conneticut Yankee

Cigarstorejay was kind enough to send me a sample of his blend (which I believe was in partnership with storm_crow?). The ribbon cut was was already dry just about to the crumble point, so I gave it a light gravity fill and tamp in my cob for tasting. The tobacco itself smells of honey, hay...

    Flash Review: Symphony

Did I mention Ocelot sent me a cubic ton of samples to try? Mac Barren Symphony is yet another. In the tin, this is a broken flake tobacco with Burley, Cavemdish, and Virginia. The tin scent isnt terribly remarkable, with hints if hay and a slight sweetness. The tobacco crumbles easily, and I...

    Flash Review: Davidoff English Mixture

Another blend compliments of Ocelot (thank you sir). This self-labeled "medium aromatic" is ribbon cut and smells of hay and not much else. The tobacco was already pretty dry, so it received a gentle gravity pack into my cob. With the description of "aromatic" and English, I really wasn't sure...

    Flash Review: Hunter Blend: Retriever

Another on the list from Ocelot. Ribbon cut with Virginia and Cavemdish, the jar smell is of fruit and vanilla (or light rum). The tin says "light aromatic", so I gravity packed and tamped it into a cob, let it sit for an hour, then proceeded outside. First light is a little unremarkable. It...

    Flash Review: SG Navy Flake

As a follow-up to the Luxury Navy Flake, and to further break in the B-line, I cubed some SG Navy Flake compliments of Todd. I had purchased some of this forms local establishment recently, smoked a bowl, and then received a sample from TH to bolster my stock. In the jar, this is quite a bit...

    Flash Review: Sunrise Smoke

As part of an exchange with Ocelot, I received a sizable serving of Sunrise Smoke. I had tried a brief exchange with this in another pipe, but the ghost of Lake was still hiding in that briar, so this ribbon blend receives a second chance in my cob, slightly packed. The marketing double-talk...

    Flash Review: Tinderbox Sunset

Another sample from Kyle. Ribbon cut Virginia which I lightly packed into a cob. In the jar, the light brown ribbon brought smells of peaches dipped in rum. A deeper breath reveals the scent of soft leather. Not overpowering but you can tell this is an aromatic. First light brings the rum and...

    Flash Review: Luxury Navy Flake

I had the pleasure of receiving samples of this blend from both Kyle and Todd. Plus I still had this B-Line from BigBehr which needed some bacca run through it. So I folded a slice, tucked it into the bowl, and began. In the jar, LNF smells slightly sweet, with hints of hay and honey. First...

    Flash Review: Reserve 1928

Kyle was kind enough to send a few samples my way. First up is Reserve 1928, packed in 3rds with a cob. The smell in the jar is much like I expected, sweet, rum, maple, and risky. But this is why I chose the cob. On first light, there is a noticeable sweetness which lingers on the tongue. Oily...
