    Processing Perique

Yep, definitely concur with the gents above. I guess the peppery magic is imparted in the fermentation. Makes me think actually, I've got a tin of Kajun Kake cellared, anybody tried it?

I'm not sure whether this has been posted before, but I found it informative and fairly interesting - from the folks at C&D <iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/7-oS8Ii5W0g" frameborder="0" loading="lazy" allowfullscreen ></iframe> Found this just afterwards...

    Any brothers from North London?

Lol like the recruiting sergeants of old. Yeah, it'd be nice to have more of a community of a kind they seem to have in the States, to swap tobaccos and stories.

    Cellaring C&D

Wah, some amazing knowledge exhibited gentlemen. Thank you all for your responses. The information you wrote down bred a further, final question - in terms of taste, what's the difference between aerobic and anaerobic fermentation? Peace to you all.

Many thanks RR. It's encouraging to hear from someone who's actually been through the experience/

    Cellaring C&D

Hi all. I read a couple of nights back that the tins of tobacco offered by G. L. Pease, C&D and McClelland aren't vacuum sealed and consequently wonder whether they can be left in their tins to age. Also, if other tins are vacuumed, does the lack of air stop them from aging properly? Many...

    What Are You Reading?

I'm listening to Greek myths retold by Stephen Fry read by the great man himself. Completely enthralling.

    Any brothers from North London?

Hey, Brewdude, I am. They meet in a very fine tobacconists near to the Ritz Hotel in Green Park, and while that's not amazingly far away from me, it's definitely not local and they tend to meet when I work. I was just looking for someone to smoke with a to talk to about all things tobacciana...

    Any brothers from North London?

Yeah, I have noticed that certain combinations work better than others and when you find a tobacco and a pipe that marry well, it gives you a whole new perspective of the blend. I smoke every few days, and because I'm a fool, I have more pipes than I need, so I try to dedicate blends to pipes...

Ah, Devon's a beautiful part of the country. Can fully understand why you'd want to retire there. My favourite baccy at the moment is Peterson's Irish Flake, and I've partnered it with an unfinished Savinelli. They're a good duo. Marlin Flake is a great smoke and I think Davidoff Flake...

    Any brothers from North London?

Ah, thank you guys. Feels great to be back. In answer to your questions Brewdude: I'm from Barnet which is one of the larger boroughs of London just before it melts aways into Hertfordshire. It's at the end of the Northern Line, if you've had the pleasure, and is a fair mix between urban and...
