It'a 1926 CST and I'm having some sfter dinner ketchup/sweet, some McC's 5100 RC in one of my early '70s factory made Charatan Special Pots. It doesn't meet some folks exacting standards but has smoked well for me for the last 40 years. 'course I'm not as discerning as some smokers.

Late morning tried some Semois from my bombing, in my Pete Sherlock Holmes Mycroft Dublin. Can't think why I don't exercise this pipe more often as it's a great smoker!

Really enjoyed the Semois. A bit basic, straight-forward tobacco flavor, somewhat nutty. Burned well too, and I packed it firm as it comes somewhat dry. This is 180 degrees different from my prior experience.

Now onto some aged 5100 in my humble Stanny Legend 19.

Cheers,

RR
