Now smoking Watch City Blue Ridge Special in a dark brown smooth straight post-WW2 LHS Certified Purex 70 bulldog with a nickel ferrule and tenon with a black vulcanite saddle stem. First time smoking this estate pipe I finished cleaning last night.

Enjoyed a tasty lunch, and have a third of a bowl left of Wilke Rum and Maple in a straight smooth with a tobacco leaf carving on the bottom left, dark brown 1980s Sir Brent pot with a tapered black vulcanite stem.

Another 3 day weekend has begun! On the deck enjoying some 2013 Samuel Gawith Best Brown Flake in a Charatan’s Make Authentic. Coffee in the mug fresh from the French Press and good tunes going as well! Pretty much all tobacco goes great with coffee, but BBF is one of my favorites to pair with some good beans.

Half way through this bowl of circa year 2000 Edward G. Robinson's Pipe Blend in a 2014 Basil Meadows smooth slight bend squashed tomato with an aluminum band and a black pearl acrylic stem in the military mount style. Helping m'lady with a project she's working on.

Smoking some Casey Jones beyond brave tobacco in an English bent Rhodesian pipe,Had this pipe for years, very good smoker, but no makers marks, just stamped London England.

First smoke tonight is 3rd Smoke blended by Steve Books in 1992. I bought and jar'ed some in 2003. Not sure if he ever sold any in his shop or not. Not sure what leafs are in it either. Jar smell is a light vinegar with dark fruit and layers of mystique. I can see some smaller oriental leafs. Taste is rich, surprisingly savory, with naturally dark, heavy sweetness. Leaves a soft, creamy aftertaste. Smoke is a bluish gray/white. Really wish I'd kept my notes on what varietals were in this but he tended to use a lot of hard-to-find turkish and greek leafs with aged VA and subtler amounts of perique or latakia. I would bet there's a long lost sweet turkish in it. Smoking it in this old Ashton Pebble Shell X.

Relaxing after a wonderful salad, French cut pork chops and asparagus dinner with strawberries and cherries for dessert. I'm close to finishing this bowl of year 2000 Wessex Brigade Sovereign Curly Cut in a smooth straight Lane era Charatan Executive Extra Large stretch apple with diagonal channel cuts on the lower right and left of the bowl along with a black vulcanite double comfort saddle stem. This pipe was formerly owned by actor William Conrad. Community Coffee, neat, is my drink. Watching the Braves-Nats game.
