Your posts made me think of the "other" Evans here with some more mainstream Miles. Back to the great pipe smoking era.....

I love that period! Thanks a lot, MisterE!

Great stuff, thanks for posting E! I love Miles' pre-"Voodoo Priest" era.

CCR - Bayou Country 8)

A few weeks ago I bought a pickup truck load of vinyl albums at an auction. 16 boxes. I went though that afternoon and whittled out what I wanted. Ended up with 2.5 milk crates worth. Gave the rest away. Not a bad haul for $20. Just now going though cleaning and playing some. I just love vinyl!

12 string fender,,,
Cool, thanks for posting, Mark. I've never seen anyone set up one of those Electric XII's as a six string, let alone play it like that! I've always associated that model with Pete Townshend (Tommy) and Jimmy Page (Stairway). Now I see it in a different light. I have a '65 or '66 in that same finish, but strung conventionally...

Forgive me, as I know not guitars too well, but is that a 12 sting electric he's playing? But he´s only using six of them though, right?

Yup. I did that once, when I was in high school. The only guitar I could get my hands on at the time was a crappy Vox 12 string made in Italy. No one wanted them in the 80's, so it was cheap. I strung it like a six string and tried to play punk rock on it. Didn't sound too good! Later, I realized that the pick ups on those Vox 12 strings were actually pretty decent sounding with the additional strings, and kind of thin and anemic sounding with only six strings. I would have thought the same would be true with the Fender Electric XII like Winter is playing in the above video, but that things sounds good! Goes to show, sometimes it's the player, not the axe!
