Thanks a lot. I really like the sound on this album, and "Country Girls". I can´t say, that I fully understood the greatness of Roxy Music until I saw "Lost in Translation" in 2003. That was late? Yes it was, but somehow the proof, that "More Than This" is in fact indestructible, has been convincing, respectively touching -
and so I fell in love with this version:

Great film, great song!
The use of music in "Lost in Translation" is fantastic. Also, the high school Jesus and Mary Chain fan in me felt really vindicated by the final scene! And it was great to see them reunite after the movie came out.

And the My Bloody Valentine fan in me got his hopes up that this meant the new album was coming finally... and then, still, NOTHING.

The harp-soloist is Cecilia Chailly, the recording was made in 1995.

Thank you! Yes, Peter Schreier -his dancing skills are still underestimated by some people. I really enjoyed this spectacular performance.

Schreiers "Winterreise" recording, the one accompanied by Sviatoslav Richter, is one of my favorite Winterreise-versions:

[edit] But when it comes to Schubert, this one is also remarkably beautiful, even if the Goerne / Brendel recording is my alltime favorite:

Heading out to the patio with my David Jones Poker, Troost Special Cavendish and every Sunday AM we listen to "Breakfast With the Beatles" on XM. It's the best Beatles show I've ever heard (and longest running).

Thanks, perfect Sunday morning soundtrack while I clean the house before my wife returns, and then I rush off to rehearsal!
