Across the Pond 100 gm. Tin

I have an unopened 100 g tin of McClelland Frog Morton Across the Pond. Can you help me figure out how much this is worth? The tin is from 2005.

    Future Shortages.

Harlock999, you're of course entitled to your opinion, not that any of these "rich winos" as you so colorfully put it care much what you, I, or for that matter, anyone else thinks of them.

CLRV, you have also made many interesting points. However, please consider that when someone typifies something as a "feeding frenzy" he might be interjecting too much of his own prejudice and too little of what may be the fundamental driving force. In any event, a most interesting thread, I've...

137 "sealed tins" on ebay, Where do you stand?

Jazzman, I reread my post and can't find where I indicated that I knew where the product was going. As far as my knowledge of how and where the pipe and pipe tobacco market is growing, anyone who has been involved in this hobby for as many years as I have should know these details. Over the last...

137 "sealed tins" on ebay, Where do you stand?

People establish the price since they compose the marketplace. And the marketplace is expanding to places where there are very few if any B&M dealers. I just sold two tins of SG's FVF to a person in China for $46.00 each. Personally, I love FVF and so I feel that this person deserves to enjoy it...

    I'm going to buy one!

    What grain do you prefer?

Deep sandblasted ring grain a la J. T. Cooke and heavily rusticated pipes a la Tom Eltang. They just smoke cooler and are easier on the fingers.

Cheap Pipe Lighters: A Comparative Review

Every time I buy a cheap lighter I regret it. Man, the XiKar is $60.00 and on Pipe Night at my B&M, it's 20% off with an extra 10& off if you're a veteran.

    IM Corona Lighters

IM Corona lighters, made in Japan, Old Boys are the best lighters at any price that I have found for lighting a pipe. However, lighting the cigarette of a gorgeous woman, well, nothing will do like a lighter made by S. T. DuPont, oooooooohhhhhhh la la la la!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Sweet Finds

Take it from a chemist, isopropyl alcohol isn't the right stuff for cleaning pipes. Try colorless, almost odorless and tasteless Everclear pure grain alcohol. It is called pure because as we all know, ethanol and water form an azeotrope at 95.63% ethanol and 4.37% water (by weight). Yeah, right...
