Let me stop in a moment and say "Hi!", and let everyone know that I'm attending the show, and I'll be at the dinner Saturday night. I know I haven't been around much. Life is kicking my butt, and it'll be nice to get away for this weekend.

Follow-up note: When traveling, be careful where you put this. If you pack this in, say, a backpack with other heavy-ish item, said item may accidentally press too hard on the button, causing it to release the seal. Then, if you were to set the backpack down, the lid could move off the base...

Nice! It won't light in a gale, like I said in this thread, but it's way better than my normal lighter. The polished silver is very nice, but I'm partial to black. I didn't like the fake/fancy options, so the plain black was the way to go for me. Nice that they do have some finish options...

Yes but.... you miss out on the opportunity to look prissy and self-important when you gleefully admit you spent $100 or more on a fancy gadget that does the same thing as a gadget that costs $20 or less! :lol!: Picking fun at myself, of course. But the Pearl IS a nice lighter...
