    Does anyone know German?

OK - very funny, I´ve only been in New York for a couple of weeks. But in fact some of the most talented colleagues I´ve ever had the pleasure to work with, are Americans. You know - everyone learns some english in school here in Germany, but that doesn´t mean that you truly know the language. I...

    Do you love your pipes?

I love my wife. The pipes - well, sometimes they seem to love me, but nevertheless - I still have to pay them. Kind regards Thilo

Well - thank you very much… your conclusion is probably not entirely true, but very kind indeed. Kind regards Thilo

    Bulldog Pics

This pipes lacks the traditional geometry so consequent, it´s a pleasure. The asymmetric shapes some russian pipe makers show nowadays are exeptionally impressive. (This is off topic - but have you noticed Boris Starkovs work? Have a nice sunday and thanks for showing this, Thilo

    Does anyone know German?

Aus Freundschaft - out of friendship An expression that maybe has been related to a gift. But my English is really far from perfect, and therefore I´m not hundred percent sure. Semantic subtleties aren´t that simple to understand and I´m not an interpreter. Congratulations, this is a...

    GBD 9438 Refurb

Great job, and certainly worth the effort. I envy your manual skills. So many people end up with over restored pieces and don´t mind, that one should always keep what´s good. But this is definitely not bad. Kind regards Thilo

    Bulldog Pics

That is so cool, one of the most interesting cheap pipes I´ve ever seen. I don´t know - that Castello in the background either valorizes your french bulldog, but it´s also possible that it steals the show a little bit. Anyway - congrats and thanks for showing the beautiful pic. Kind regards Thilo

    Pipe Cases?

You´re perfectly right, riff raff, the unfavorable currency rate makes them ridiculously expensive. If they would decide to sell their things to the US, it would be necessary to reconsider prices. On the other hand this is excellent handwork, one can see and feel their commitment to an old...

    Pipe Cases?

For me, there are only two possibilities to transport a pipe with some dignity - either the Dunhill Combination Pouch or these things Al Pascia makes in Milano. I would doubt, that a hard case provides better protection. Most hard cases don´t absorbe an impact as these softer ones do...

    Zebu Horn Tamper

What du you think about these tampers? Made of Zebu Horn, they´re exceptionally light and remarkably smooth, that means more or less no adhesion - they remain practically clean. Nils Thomsen Zebu Horn Tamper Kind regards Thilo

WANTED Pics of your old tobacco tins

Here in Germany, they just use these ugly cheap stickers for tobacco tins, it´s not the same anymore. I really have to get some of the old tins, before they fully disappear. Just for old times sake… But I´m using these glasses instead of the orinal tins anyway: Kind regards Thilo
