    Favorite American Pipe Maker...

I do think Rad Davis makes some beautiful pipes... alas they are out of reach for me pricewise (mostly in the $300 - $400 range). For me Brisset's and JM Boswell hit the right combo of quality and affordability.

    Churchwardens? Pros? Cons? Preferences?

I had a nice Boswell Plateaux briar churchwarden. I liked it real well. My wife always said she thought it looked cool when I smoked that one. I don't know if it was just this particular pipe or if it was due to my smoking technique, but it tended to get a little gurgley on me before I would...

Fellahs, I went ahead and relisted it. Lowered the opening bid price to $89 (No Reserve). If you don't want to pull the trigger at this price point... a Brisset just isn't for you. I'll keep her if she doesn't find a new home on this go around! Thanks everybody!

Bump- Auction ends today! Also guys: I'm not getting rid of everything. Hanging onto grandpa's pipes and a couple that will hold some tobacco when I get the urge to light up... but Selling my nice ones that are worth anything as a fundraiser for my car situation. My wife's first day of...

Smoked just a couple times. On eBay for a fraction of what I paid with no reserve. Raising money for down payment on car. Mine died. Parting with pipes because my wife is quitting cigs and I want to support that. Bid early/ bid often... give this beauty a good home. Link to auction...

Some fine pipes from my collection up on eBay

Piet. That comment was for the general public. Not for a brother. If you want a pipe and win it I'll glady ship it to you for actual cost. I just want to be cautious about Nigerian Bankers trying to swindle me out 'o me pipe money. You dig?

Dos Equis Guy- Stay thirsty my friends...

JP - That was a funny article. For those who may be concerned, rest assured it was just a parody news article... another headline from the same website: "Atlantic Ocean Dries Up After Freighter Carrying Shipment of ShamWows Capsizes" Stay thirsty my friends. ;)

Freaky dreams: Keep it "PG" rated

Last night I had the strangest dream. I was looking in a mirror and was surprised to discover a hole about the size of a 50 cent piece in the middle of my forehead. It went deep into the head... (no visible brain matter, I know... no surprise there)... and the weirdest thing: it was...

    Any unofficial non members here?

PB- Sounds like a cool gathering. Just curious, are there chicks running around nude like at Burning Man? Not that I condone that sort of thing... I only ask so if I go I'll be prepared to avert my eyes if necessary. ;)

    Any unofficial non members here?

PB- I object to your use of the word "zuzu" to mean a Snickers candy bar. You can't just go making up words and saying that they mean "Snickers candy bar." For goodness sake man, there are formal protocols for word creation. If we just let you go and make up your own words, the whole...

    What Are You Reading?

"Humpty Dumpty in Oakland" ~ Phillip K Dick I have really enjoyed some of the movies that have been made based on his stories... this one would make for a helluva boring movie. Gotta say, it sucked.

did battle today with the most formidable fly I've ever seen

The following encounter took place today in my office. It is 100% true. I fully expect that there will be some skeptics among the group, but I assure you it happened just as I am about to tell it. I did battle with the gamest fly I've thus far encountered in my 44 years. Naturally, I...
