Received a heckofa fabulous deal with Dave for a most excellent Northern Briars bulldog. Pipe is fantastic. Price was superb. Delivery and communication went smooth. I'd deal worth him again with no hesitation. Recommended!
I'll be building a pipe rack and a pipe cabinet soon. I have a router, drill press etc., but am not sire how to do those scallops on the bottom where the pipe bowls rest. Can anybody tell me what to use, and how to accomplish this?
Thanks!
Doug
All of my pipes thus far I've made with pre-cut/factory stems. I would like to start making my own. I do not have a lathe. Is this possible? Any advice? Thanks!
Just finished eight new pipes, two stem replacements, and five refurbs. Have five more refurbs on the bench, two commissioned cigar box guitars to start, bookshelves to design, coffee to roast, and grass to cut. Too bad I don't have anything to do.
I have a good friend from Mali who is a talented sculptor, working almost always with ebony. I asked if I would drill the block, fit the stem, and do all the finish work would he carve the pipe. This is what he did . . with a penknife! The picture doesn't do the pipe justice. And it probably...
Just purchased five new pipes and am very happy with them. Got a killer deal . . $175 for all five, and all unsmoked. From left: Randy Wiley, Rad Davis, Cavicchi, Tsuge, Tsuge.

I'd appreciate some suggestions as to aromatics. I don't care for the syrupy sweet, gloppy stuff. There are some Boswell blends that I enjoy (i.e. No Bite Delite). I like Bob's Chocolate Flake. Years ago there were some C&D blends that I liked, although I haven't smoked anything from them...
Hello Everyone,
New here. I've been smoking pipes for about 10-12 years (actually can't remember how long) and making pipes for about 10. This site was recommended to me by a friend from another board/forum so I thought I'd check it out.
Looking forward to making new friends!
Doug
