Mayer Hawthorne - A Strange Arrangment

Maybe So Maybe No

This dude has so much soul, it would blow your mind. All the music is original compositions, no samples or anything, but you'd swear you were listening to 60s-70s funk/soul. Its awesome.

I pulled out an album I hadn't heard in a long time...Chicago Transit Authority. The black double album. I think it was their first album. Some really good stuff on there.

I remember seeing that movie in the theater when it came out! Thanks for posting that PB. The soundtrack album is good too...lots of good slide playing from Ry Cooder.

"Muddy Waters invented electricity."

For Christmas I got:
Wagner, Der Ring des Nibelungen: Historical Recordings sets 1 & 2
So that's what I been listening to.
CDs of original recordings from the 20's to the 50's so it retains some of the cracks & pops found on old records. Just like listening to the original 78's but without stopping to change them out.

I am so jealous!

Oddly enough after having said that, I'm listening to Save a Horse Ride a Cowboy - Big & Rich

I am listening to the wife B##CH since I did not get the house cleaned up to her liking. While she was staying in the hospital with her mother.
