Half way through this bowl of year 2014 Edward G. Robinson's Pipe Blend in a 2014 Basil Meadows smooth slight bend squashed tomato with an aluminum band and a black pearl acrylic stem in the military mount style. Watching Mad Dog Russo.

@Swede , I smoke a cob once in a while. I did this morning because I didn't want a long smoke. I own a lot of cobs, but I prefer briars.

Bald Headed Teacher in a MM cob with more coffee. I'm just trying to burn this up and be rid of it. I just don't get all the 4 star reviews. I don't taste any Latakia at all, and as a burley blend it's just boring. I would rather smoke CH or SWR. For a light Lat blend Shepherds Pie beats it by a mile.
Most of those reviews are for the McClelland version of BHT. Mine is. I haven't tried the version you're smoking, but I know it's not the same as what I've been used to.

Jim inspired me so dug out a pipe I haven't smoked in quite a while. A Nording grade 2 freehand bent dublin with Amphora Original. Tazo orange spice tea aside. Took Augie for his first vet visit and shots earlier. He did great. So proud of him being a rescue and all. He behaved perfectly. He has turned into such a little sweetie.

It got above freezing before noon the last few days here, so I better iron my speedos! Bengal slices in a mostly unmarked pipe I picked up at an antique shop last week (there are hallmarks on the ferrule but I haven't looked them up yet). For breakfast, pecan bars I made last night, gluten free at the wife's request and walnuts instead of pecans because I don't really care for pecans lol! View attachment 7931View attachment 7932

You got a recipe for those? They look good

Enjoyed a tasty lunch, and am passing through the first third of this bowl of year 2001 VaPer Three Nuns in a 1938 straight black grain relief Dunhill OX Shell bulldog with a silver band repair with a black vulcanite saddle stem. Gold Star Jamaican Estate Reserve, neat, is my drink.

The crust came out a little thicker than I like so I made that note for next time. I just subbed 3 cups of Red Mill gluten free flour with 3/4 tsp. of xantham gum instead of regular flour. I also added 1/4 tsp. vanilla extract to the crust and filling plus 1/4 tsp. almond extract and some cinnamon to just the filling because I thought it needed something lol. It's king Arthur's recipe I just pulled from online if the pictures don't come through!

Second bowl of the day, some 31 optimum in a very nice no-named Canadian meerlined that I just got back from being restored, it was out of my depth to do. Sent it to James at stem and briar, long wait but excellent job. Still sampling the optimum and I'm not sure it's quite up to being one of my arros in rotation but it sure is a unique flavor!

Not far from finishing this bowl of year 2020 Watch City Rouxgaroux in a smooth medium bend 2021 Peterson POTY Natural 4AB No. 6/500 military mount with a silver cap and a tapered black vulcanite AB stem. Ice water and bergs is my drink. Just posted four reviews at TR.

Just over a third of a bowl left of year 2013 Capstan Blue Ready Rubbed in a straight black sandblasted 1924 Parker’s Super Briar Bark 11 billiard with a tapered black vulcanite stem. This pipe was made in the second year of Parker production. An off-diet dinner follows this smoke.
