Relaxing after a wonderful salad, rainbow trout and pinto beans dinner with strawberries for dessert. I've about a third of a bowl left of year 2013 Capstan Blue in a straight 1924 Dunhill’s “Shell Briar” patent pot 7 with a tapered black vulcanite stem. Ice water and bergs is my drink. Jim, have you tried the Revelation match by Sutliff? How does it compare to the PM and HoW versions?

Good morning,
Terrible night at work, Smoking a Bari Wiking freehand with Lane LL-7, Mug of Colombian peaks coffee to wake me up! Trying to be at work by 10 am. The catering business sucks!
My wife somehow slipped and fell at work yesterday afternoon, was sent to the ER, She did some damage to her right hand and will have to see a hand specialist. The MRI, they said was not good news.
Hope she gets better quickly.

A third of the way through this bowl of year 2012 Rolando’s Own in a smooth straight early ‘60s Lane era “William Conrad” Charatan Executive Extra Large stretch apple with diagonal channel cuts on the lower right and left of the bowl along with a black vulcanite double comfort saddle stem. Jim, have you tried the Revelation match by Sutliff? How does it compare to the PM and HoW versions?
The HoW version was very accurate until the mid-1990s when the company cheapened all of their blends. The Sutliff Match is fairly close: a little sweeter and a tad smoother with a less rougher burley.

Weather a lot cooler today, with a forecast of thunderstorms and torrential rain later this evening. Can't wait, haven't had a drop of rain in two months, unheard of for the U.K
Going to plug a Meershaum with condor original, a personal fave of mine. And get ready to watch the storm, if it arises.
Have an awesome day my friends.

The aquarium is in the right side of my desk, every time i was watching a movie in the pc or reading or i was just smoking my pipe and enjoying my coffee the turtles were watching me especially Packy. Every time i entered the room or got up from the chair she turned her head to me, was watching every move when i was sitting on the desk. Many times i was teasing her with my finger and she was trying to ''bite'' it behind the glass but when i was trying to feed her close to her mouth was very shy. Very often i was laying down my pipe to watch them play of fighting each other for who's gonna bite the biggest piece of meat or fruit.
I consider them as ''pipe smoking companions'' because they never-ever reacted badly to the smoke of the pipe although they olfaction is very sensitive. When my wife was making roast meat in the kitchen although they didn't have any visual contact at all they were making like crazy because they smell (and felt) that extra food is coming. The ''madness-time'' was when my wife was approaching with 2 toasts, the smell of the roast turkey made them splash the water in a phrenitis and they didn't give up till i decide to give them a piece of it.

Here is an older photo of Packy, she is at the top stretching her left leg. I know that Humanity has far more serious problems but i lost my 10+ years pipe smoking companion, i miss her, i still haven't believe it and i know that the future Winter smoking days would never be the same. Thank you all for your kindly words.
This reminded me of this video:

73° and sunny. Italian 1/8th bent poker freehand with new Luxury Navy Flake. This is my oldest pipe. When I sold off my collection many years ago, when I stopped smoking a pipe for a long while, I saved two broken pipes and this one. All three are top-shelf smokers. I rarely smoke it anymore and have treated it like it has a finite number of great smokes...because it always provides amazing smokes...so I better save them for special days. Ridiculous, but that's how I treated it. I was cutting down cakes, and it spoke to me. Cleaned it up (knocked out the dust) and got it ready for regular rotation after years of sitting. As always, a fine, fine smoke. 9/10.

Almost half way through this bowl of year 2014 Edward G. Robinson's Pipe Blend in a 2014 Basil Meadows smooth slight bend squashed tomato with an aluminum band and a black pearl acrylic stem in the military mount style. Ice water and bergs is my drink. Watching Mad Dog Russo.
