Just finished smoking Low Country Pipe & Cigar Natural Virginia & Burley in a 2020 straight black sandblasted Merchant Service “Bing” Standard with a nickel band and tapered black vulcanite stem. Ice water and bergs is my drink.

Passing the first third of this bowl of Wilke No. 515 in a 1998 smooth straight Butz-Choquin Bistro 1501 pot with a black vulcanite saddle stem. This was the original 515 that Basil Rathbone smoked. It just started raining and I went out to make sure Daisy the Feral Princess and Tomato the Brave got a good meal before they go hide under the deck. They won't come out when it rains unless they are really hungry. The other ferals don't travel in rain.

Good morning fellow BoBs. Starting the day with my own Tumbleweed in a Butz Choquin magnum bent brandy and a big mug of Costa Rican coffee. Quiet and peaceful on the mountain this morning. Heading to the ranch later but have to drop off a box of food at the casino for a food bank drive. Between meals on wheels and several food banks in town there is no reason for anyone to go hungry here. Folks in this town are very generous.

Always liked the look of this pipe....Popular shape at Dunhill...But I always find the edges of the mouthpiece a little "sharp" and uncomfortable for the sides of my mouth.
I've tried maybe 3 different pipes...all beauties...all size 4, EK...same irritation.

I've never had a problem with it, but these sort of things vary from person to person.
 
PS Luxury Navy Flake straight out of the jar with a little stickiness when pinched. Narrow strips rubbed out barely and gently. This is an attempt to smoke it prepared like Zeno described, and it is working very well. From the char light, there is more taste and it is smouldering quite well with 2/3 bowl left. I appreciate learning this for one of my favorites. Oh, and it's in an Edward's Virgin Algerian briar pot shaped with twin bore stem.

Enjoyed a tasty lunch, and am a third of the way through this bowl of year 2012 Rolando’s Own in a smooth straight early ‘60s Lane era “William Conrad” Charatan Executive Extra Large stretch apple with diagonal channel cuts on the lower right and left of the bowl along with a black vulcanite double comfort saddle stem. George Russell Fog Lifter, neat, is my drink.

Smoking a Beraldi bent acorn with Velvet and a mug of freshly ground and perked Yukon coffee. I only ground up about 8oz of coffee as my back is giving me problems again.The beraldi pipes are very under rated and velvet is my favorite codger smoke.
 
Just finished a bowl of SWR in my Now finished Savinelli. Also some seewt tea. I'm begining to like the SRW a little better than the EGR that I also like. To me the EGR sometimes gets a little bland towards the bottom of the bowl. The SWR stays about the same for the full bowl full.
