Smoking an Oldenkott 9mm filtered pipe along with some M/B Seven seas regular blend.
Ranger,this pipe was a real challenge,multiple oxy baths to remove the oxidation,a couple of salt treatments..
The pipe is a pleasure to smoke now! God only knows what this guy smoked in this pipe because I can smell something weird ,its very faint,hopefully it will disappear in time.
I scored a french made Corsica online last night looks to be in good shape,Time will tell.
 
Just finished smoking a bowl from a first production tin (2013) of Edward G. Robinson's Pipe Blend in a 2014 Basil Meadows smooth slight bend squashed tomato with an aluminum band and a black pearl acrylic stem in the military mount style.

Almost half way through this bowl of Watch City COE Beta Test Blend #1 in a 1978 BBB straight smooth brown Silver Mounted 522 pot with a silver band and a tapered black vulcanite stem. No matter what @Ranger107 sez, I'm keeping the pipe! :devilish: ;)😇

Smokjng my new Comoys Ruby grade that I got off of Ebay and I am NOT a happy camper. Pipe is smaller than depicted in the ad, but figured if it smoked okay I could live with it. It smokes very hot, i.e. after 5 min of smoking, pipe is too hot to hold, have to set it aside to coll off. Not the quality I have come to expect based on other Comoys I have owned. Hoping Ebay will make it right. Sorry for the long rant, just frustrated as this was $100 pipe.

If it was a recent production from the last few years, that is what you can expect from Comoy's now. Comoy's are Comoy's in name only. Go for the older estate Comoy's, pre 1970s, and you'll get great smoking pipes.
 
Ranger,maybe try a different tobacco in the Comoys?
I just put the OLDENKOTT back in another salt/alcohol treatment as that strange smell bothered me..
Smoking a Bari bent tomato shaped pipe with some Lane 1Q Tobacco.
Bought some brigadier Black Shermans march online,seems to have good reviews!

Don't know when produced as that was not in the description. It is stamped made in London England. The draw is okay, and it passes a pipe cleaner easily. The build quality seems pretty good, it's just that it smokes hot. I sip, I don't puff hard, and after 4/5 minutes, it is too hot to hold. Not at all like my other 2 Comoys. Just hoping the seller or Ebay will make it right.

EZ, smoked it with CH, which smokes cool in every other pipe I have or have smoked it in. I'm hesitant to smoke more bowls in case the seller says I can return it. Right now, I've wiped out the bowl and it looks the same as when delivered.

Hearth & Home Signature Anniversary Kake in an unbranded Ben Wade 38 bulldog w/ saddle bit. I'm glad I only picked up an oz of this kake. I'm not sure what the deal is with it, but it is very moist like it has a heavy casing on it. It smokes OK, but the flavor doesn't scream, "I gotta have more of this stuff!"

Almost finished smoking Watch City XCX Beta Test Blend in a 1983 medium bend, mostly smooth, bottom rusticated brown Butz-Choquin Maitre Pipier 3 Fait Main dublin with pearl brown acrylic tapered stem.

Smoking some Casey Jones Heros blend in a Savinelli 616ks along with a quick K-cup to get me thru till dinner time !
 
Now smoking year 2015 Seattle Pipe Club Deception Pass in a smooth straight brown late 1930s Linkman’s Dr. Grabow Deluxe Bruyere 9708B pot with a nickel accent and a black tapered vulcanite stem. Time for another set of walking reps.

Oldencott is now drying from its 3rd alcohol & salt bath,Hopefully tomorrow it will be right...
 
NYCPiper's Benediction blend in my new Brebbia Perfecta. Smoking pretty good but I think it needs some cake, so back to CH or aros for a while. Iced coffee with. Good news, seller agreed to take back the Comoys. Yay.
