A bulk blend said to be a Sutliff English Oriental Supreme in a Lorenzo Spitfire Filtro. I can only find a PS blend by this exact name, but the Sutliff is supposed to have St. James Perique. I can get only a bit of pepper on retrohale, so I'll need to check with the seller again. If it is Sutliff English Oriental #400341, it's a sleeper, as it's pretty good to me for under $4 an ounce. It's my way of trying latakia besides the C&D Odessa I've tried. Think I'm going to like latakia blends.

Just finished smoking year 2007 Astley’s No. 109 in a straight smooth brown circa 1950s-60s BBB Contrast 506 Canadian with a tapered black vulcanite stem.

No company uses St. James perique in all their blends due to its cost. That's why you don't notice it. Btw, are you sure that isn't a Peter Stokkebye blend? They make that blend.

I was going by the TR description for that blend. The Sutliff site also claims it has St. James perique, and that would be a nice surprise to be able to obtain if still true. I've contacted them to confirm.

I suspect it is the PS, but want to ask the person at the shop who orders it. I'd wanted to try the PS also, so glad I found it. It's whetted my appetite for latakia.

Enjoyed a tasty peach, did a set of walking reps, and have about a third of a bowl left of Prince Albert in an undated, unbranded straight smooth brown made in France Los Alton VBF Canadian with a tapered black vulcanite stem. Ice water and bergs is my drink.

I see the discrepancy, now. The PS blend is English Oriental Supreme. Sutliff's blend is named English Oriental.

According to what I read, the Sutliff and PS blends are different. The latter has black cavendish and no perique. I haven't smoked the Sutliff version, and didn't know about it until I read your post. Sounds good, though.

If you like Latakia and orientals you should try Arango Balkan Supreme.

Relaxing after a wonderful salad, two big plates of lasagna made with a pound of beef, and a bowl of vanilla bean ice cream for dessert. I'm not far from finishing this bowl of first release Watch City Rouxgaroux in a smooth medium bend 2021 Peterson POTY Natural 4AB No. 6/500 military mount with a silver cap and a tapered black vulcanite AB stem. Ice water and bergs is my drink.
