Frog Morton and PS Luxury Bullseye Flake

Thanks for the advice and tobacco recommendations, guys! I'll have to try those sometime. Update on the Frog Morton: I smoked some today in a different pipe than what I had been smoking it in, and the flavors came through! I was getting worried for a little while because the first few times I...

    What are you smoking?

Gonna smoke some Frog Morton in my Stanwell tomorrow, hiking in the mountains with some friends! :)

Should I give flake another chance?

It's really not as tough as it sounds. I've been smoking for a little less than a year, and I really enjoy flakes! After trying it a few times, I think I've gotten the hang of it. I've only rubbed out my tobacco, and it's worked well for me so far. I've never tried the other methods the Brothers...

    Branching Out

I enjoy cigars and would smoke them more often if they weren't so damned expensive. It's a different experience that is a real treat every once in awhile, but it still doesn't compare to the joys of pipe smoking!

    Ever Lost a Pipe Stem?

Yes! I guess it was the leprechauns playing tricks on me the night before St Patrick's Day. You would think they would be kinder to me, seeing that I'm named after the guy!

    Ever Lost a Pipe Stem?

After searching for hours, I finally found it! It actually was hiding with some of my clothes. Very strange! No one was near my room at the time, and I was sure I set it back down on my desk. I'm glad I have it back though!

    Ever Lost a Pipe Stem?

So, I was working on sanding away at some of the grime on the pipe stem for my nicest pipe. Then, I was briefly interrupted, and when I returned to my room to continue working on it, it turned up missing! I can't believe this! I was only gone for two seconds, and I lost it. I have searched...

    Did I skip something?

Yeah, I'm kinda the same way. I started smoking this June, and so far Va and VaPer flakes have been my absolute favorites as well. Latakia/oriental based tobaccos are a close second for me, but nothing compares to a good Va or VaPer!

Frog Morton and PS Luxury Bullseye Flake

I actually ordered mine in bulk from smokingpipes.com, and they sell it for an excellent price! If you can't buy any from your B&M, I'd recommend ordering some. I've been very impressed with this blend so far. Out of curiousity, has anyone else had a similar experience with Frog Morton or other...

Frog Morton and PS Luxury Bullseye Flake

Frog Morton is the second latakia based blend I've tried so far (Star of the East was the first). And I have to say my experience with latakia hasn't been what I expected it would be like so far. I love how spicy and full tasting SOTE is. It almost seems to me like it would be the Mexican food...

    What are you smoking?

About to hop in my car and enjoy some GL Pease Montgomery in my Nording Viking pipe. My favorite virginia I've tried so far!

    Best storage/cellaring tips

So, as a newbie, I have a few questions on this topic: 1. If you want to store the tobacco for years, what do you have to do to prepare the mason jars (or can you just screw the lid on tight and call it good)? 2. When you open a jar to smoke, how long will the tobacco keep if you close the lid...

Forget Penzance, Taco Flavored Doritos are back!

Brothers, you bring a wealth of knowledge about this hobby. I never knew there were so many different variables that can go into the preperation and eating of chips. I've occasionally experimented with small bags of different blends, and enjoyed the experience. I have found Sun Chips to be an...
