    Got my Missouri Meerschaums today.

Yes enjoying the MM. Even got one for my brother. Got my second briar today an Armellini. My first is a Peterson Aran but really needed a second briar. Can't say it will be the last. Looking forward to enjoying a bowl later this evening as it came with my mail order baccy. Got Samuel Gawith...

    A second pipe but what?

Great suggestion. Enjoying the MM Cobs but I have questions. Really like to put a stem on them like the stem on my Peterson Aran, material not style, I think that it's a vulcanite stem. The Cob stems are a bit soft and the way I chew them they may not last long. I found this site but then that...

    Got my Missouri Meerschaums today.

Thanks for the help. So far I really like the Diplomat with filter out, think the Patriot will be good. Might even gift the smaller Mizzou to my brother who really got me in to pipe smoking. He not a regular smoker, doesn't smoke RYO, I think the smaller Mizzou will suit him and get his...

    Got my Missouri Meerschaums today.

I love it when you come home to a parcel waiting for you. I took some of the brothers advice and invested in 3 Missouri Meers, $40 all up delivered, to Australia, in a week not bad at all. Diplomat 5th Avenue straight filtered, Patriot straight, Mizzou-unfiltered. Having a quick look the...

    A second pipe but what?

Gentelmen I have my Cob's, 3 Missouri Meerscham, in the post on their way and can't wait to start smoking them when they arrive. To be fare it's only been a week and you guys have had some nasty weather in that time. They also have to come all the way to Australia. I'm still agonizing over a...

    A second pipe but what?

I've looked at the Mario Grandi a few times. Really catch the eye, some a little out there but some are just beautiful and as you say kaiser83 in my price range. Just ordered more pipe tobacco from my man down south. I can see this pipe collecting can become a little addictive. My other...

    A second pipe but what?

I have taken the Brothers advice and ordered 3 Missouri Cob pipes. Pretty good 3 pipes delivered to Australia for $40. Still not settled on a new/second briar been looking at Stanwell, Savinelli and have my eye on this Moretti...

    A second pipe but what?

Just checking eBay site, thank you Dutch, and Missouri Meerschaum, thank you leftover421, am finding it really helpful. Can get overwhelming there's just so many different styles and makes. The Cobs are a really good idea as I can buy a few different shapes see what I like. You wouldn't...

    A second pipe but what?

Just found the BoB site with pipes for sale some real crackers there. Today mission is to get that second, maybe even a third pipe, ordered and on it's way as my Pete is getting a bit of a hammering smoking 1 to 2 bowls a day in it and don't want to spoil it. Some great suggestions made thank...

    A second pipe but what?

I really like the Peterson but as I've said it's the only pipe I've smoked. Yes it was the look of the pipe that sold me so maybe just go with my gut again. Thank you for the information. All is appreciated.

    A second pipe but what?

Doing a bit of searching and have found pipes that have 9mm or metal filters. I have seen these before and have been told you can smoke the pipe without the filter. Does this affect the performance of the pipe? Should I stick with the non filter pipes?

    A second pipe but what?

Thank you all for the advice. Having only the one and having to rest it is frustrating.

    What are you smoking?

I have tried the Davidoff Royalty it was a great smoke. Hard to get where I live but will be picking some up next time I'm in the big smoke.

    A second pipe but what?

I remember asking for advice on my first pipe purchase on BoB and was not lead astray. I settled on a Peterson Aran #80 not the most expensive pipe in the world but as a first it has been faultless. Has a nice cake going now and I get a nice smoke from it. I have recently found a great pipe...

    Lightweight, Small Bowl Suggestions?

My brother doesn't smoke cigs but wants to try the briar. I suggested a Peterson Barrel or even the small Clabash. My first and to date only pipe is a Peterson Aran #80 and it's brilliant. Am looking to buy a new pipe but that's for another post.

    What are you smoking?

Been a while since I've posted so here goes. Best pipe baccy I could get local was the usual stuff Dr Pats, which I've been using as a RYO, Erinmore, Borkum and Amphora. All not bad but as I have recently found not great. Found an online supplier here in Australia and they have some cracking...

My new Peterson cake and baccy.

Been smoking the Peterson for a while now and it's working like a champ. Totally enjoying my baccy. Been smoking a nice Davidoff Royalty but am almost finished the tin. Time to try a different mix me thinks. I like the little bit of Latakia, might try something with a bit more of that in it...

    Royalty Baccy.

There's a law going through Parliament (yeah we have that in Oz) that will mean all tobacco products will be in plain packaging with these nasty "look what happens to you if you smoke" pictures all over them. It's outrageous. I'm a consenting adult I can make my own choices. Yeah you guys...

    Royalty Baccy.

So I'm just back from the city where I was able to get me some nice baccy. I've been smoking Dr Pats and Erinmore Flake which I can buy local and that's nice but while away I got a tin of Davidoff Royalty. Just had my third bowl of it and well what a huge difference from what I've been smoking...

    Tobacco too mellow.

Noted and noted. This is now a week of smoking the Peterson. Tonight's full pipe was magic, slow, cool, smooth, sweet even. Most enjoyable yet. Can't wait to try some Latakia.
