    RE: Cigar like pipe tobacco

Hello all, Anyone have a suggestion for a pipe tobacco that has a lot of cigar leaf or made entirely from cigar leaf? I've read the description regarding GLP's Robusto, has anyone smoked it? Thanks Ed

No more Boswell's credit card orders

It seems from reading Boswell's note on his website, the main reason his credit card service went after him was because he sells tobacco on-line. Which just means this is probably the first round in the up coming all out war on tobacco.

    First bowl of Navigator

So I tried my very first bowl of Navigator, which was good, but it certainly didn't knock my socks off. This might have been my first go 'round with a flake, I can't remember if I smoked any flake tobacco when I use to smoke a pipe 15 years ago. But anyway I did like how slow burning it was and...

    Peterson's Irish Whiskey

I live 30 minutes north of Tally and can appreciate your lack of selection regarding tobacco. Even though you didn't actually ask for a suggestion on buying tobacco on-line I'll give you one anyway. I buy all my tobacco from Smoking Pipes and have nothing but good things to say about them. Good...

    RE: Aged Tobacco

Since I really like Magnum Blend I want to buy a large quantity to age, but having never smoked an "aged" version of Magnum blend I'm wondering whether I'll even like an "aged" version. Has anyone ever allowed a favorite tobacco to age and then find they no longer like it? I want to buy one...

    RE: Magnum Blend

Gentlemen, I've been smoking a good bit of Magnum Blend by JM Boswell, but was wondering if anyone else makes a similar/comparable blend? Have a relaxing Sunday. Ed

    RE: Dunhill

Gentlemen, I've never tried Dunhill pipe tobacco, but was thinking about taking abvantage of Smoking Pipes buy 4 get 1 free. Normally I smoke Magnum blend by JM Boswell, Cairo, Lagoda or Frog Morton on the Town. Any suggestions for tobacco Dunhill? I've read the descriptions on Smoking Pipes...

    What I'm smoking

For the last couple of weeks all I've smoked is, Lagonda and Frog Morton on the Town in every pipe I own. I'm becoming seriously addicted to Frog on the Town. I especially love the scent on my hands even hours after smoking. Ed

    Any blenders give people problems?

Not exactly on point, but, C & D's Blockade Runner doesn't sit well with me. In fact I disliked so much I haven't tried ANY other C & D blend and have only smoked GLP & Frog.

    RE: Pipes & Cigar smokers

Gentlemen: To any of you that smoke both cigars and pipes, do you have any problems/issues going back and forth. The last cigar I smoked (which was one I smoked often prior to returning to pipes) tasted horrible...think cigarette type taste horrible, and yes, it was purchased from the shop...

    RE: Tobacco Cellar

Gentlemen: With all things being equal (i.e. either a sealed tin or placed in a mason jar, out of direct sunlight, etc.) how long will stored tobacco be smoke-able (i.e flavorful, not dried out)? I'm concerned about the FDA and rising prices and diminished availability so I want to start a...

Cigars expected to be targeted by FDA regulation

You'd think with everything that is wrong in this country the government could find something more pressing to work on than MORE anti-tobacco legislation or government regulations. It's already illegal for minors to purchase tobacco which hasn't stopped them and neither will any regulations the...

    Volume of smoke question

Kyle, That definitely seems to be the consensus from all the answers that were on point. Too much smoke equals smoking too quickly. Which was what I thought prior to posing the question. I guess when I want clouds of smoke I'll lite up a cigar. Ed

    RE: pre-drilled briar

Gentlemen: I'm ready at trying my hand at building a pipe and am starting with a pre-drilled block, anyone have a suggestion for which supplier has the best blocks? Or is the easiest to deal with? Or has the most precise drilling? Hope the treats you well, Ed

    Volume of smoke question

Being a long time (over 20 years) cigar smoker, I've noticed over the years that some cigars produce a larger volume of smoke than others (not counting the occasional stick that has a plug or other abnormality which effects the draw). Is there a particular pipe blend that is especially known for...
