I've been smoking for almost 4 years now, and believed that I had figured out a halfway decent way to pack my pipe. I generally packed loser than I thought I should etc. just for giggles, lately ive been packing much tighter than I am inclined to, and I have had nothing but pleasant results :P...
i love this shape, the danish apple. Luciano made a beautiful pipe of the year that is a good example:
anyone know other makers who come close to this shape?
being that i am a poor student the more inexpensive the better haha

what is a good product that i might find in a grocery store/ non specialty store for polishing up stems (by hand... no room for a buffing wheel in my apartment :P )

im curious to know the cheapest pipe line affered by ardor.
a local pipe shop has many Ardor pipes, all rusticated with the "ninfia" silver spigot army mount....
they are $85-95 each.... this seems very very very low to me for an ardor.
any ardor experts here want to weigh in?
When i first started smoking the pipe i bought a pouch of this stuff, and found that it tasted terrible. i looked it up on tobacco reviews and i couldnt help but notice people commenting on how overpoweringly sweet it is. when i smoked it, i noticed absolutely no sweetness, just awful taste, so...
If you have looked on ebay for pipes i am sure you have come across some of this guy's listings for his over the top futuristic designs.
One such example
like many of you i thought that surely these were overpriced and couldn't possibly have any value as practical smokers.
I came across some...
Has anyone ever bought a Natural (no finish) pipe from a manufacturer i.e. savinelli, and proceeded to finish it themselves?
could make for some interesting colors outside the norm.
im imagining staining and finishing one in some crazy color like blue just for kicks
I have always wanted a blowfish shaped pipe, but i have yet to find any that is more reasonably priced (<$100)
I was just curious why this is such an expensive shape?
any pipe makers here like to share their experiences with the blowfish shape?
im contemplating buying one of these pipes, but they both look sweet to me.
any advice/opinions

worst feeling ever.
I recently purchased a Savinelli Baronet pipe, and i was planning to use it as a dedicated english pipe.
I have been dabbling with english blends on and off for a while, but have never had the means to acquire a large variety of english tobaccos to try. I have a tin of Suttlif Blend No.5 and a...
does it exist? im thinking along the lines of those Chowards brand mints.
i know its a very aromatic scent and almost perfume like, but i think it could make a tasty tobacco.
anyone know of any such Baccy?
I saw a pipe in an antique store the other day and it was fairly reasonably priced. it looked like a kirsten style but the metal body was completely hexagonal unlike the kirsten. it had a rusticated bowl, and O-rings where the stem/mouth piece attached. it did have some sort of removable valve...
